Zion Mitrani is an accomplished Fraud Advisor with more than two decades of leadership in Fraud Detection and Prevention initiatives, delivering critical products and services to global financial institutions.

With an extensive background in financial crimes, Mr. Mitrani provides expert consultancy on the Fraud-Compliance program, development and enhancement of Fraud Detection Platforms, authentication methodologies, organizational loss reduction, and the improvement of operational workflows. 

Before opening FinCrimez, Mr. Mitrani served as a Director in PwC's Financial Crime Practice area within the Advisory department. He led fraud initiatives, developed business perspectives, facilitated business development, and advised financial institutions worldwide.

Before joining PwC, Mr. Mitrani developed and directed the strategy for establishing a new fraud prevention practice at Matrix-IFS, a boutique Financial Crime consulting firm. As Managing Director and a key member of the management team, he spearheaded the practice, delivering premium fraud detection and prevention services to top-tier financial institutions.

Prior to his consultancy and advisory roles, Mr. Mitrani worked at RSA (the security division of EMC) as the COO of the CTO Office. In this role, he led research, machine learning, product development, and supported the company's risk-based fraud prevention solutions: AdaptiveAuth and 3DSecure.

Mr. Mitrani holds a B.Sc. in computer science and physics, and an M.Sc. in quantum physics. His contributions to the field have been published in Physical Review Letters (PRL).
